Yamaha RX 100 was one of the hit bikes in India during the
second half of 80's. The used bike market price shows that there is not much decrease in RX fans in India.
Now Yamaha is going to produce new RX 100 with 4 stroke engine.
In the middle of 1990's the production of old RX 100 had stopped due to the pollution control norms. Like other manufactures Yamaha is also producing a new version of its old model with the old look. The difference is only in engine. Yamaha got this inspiration from the success of bullet classic.
Pankaj Dubey, Indian business head, Yamaha Motor, said: “We are working on the lines of the RX 100 and are looking to have something of a similar product for India. It will be early to talk about it but we will come out with a product there. We cannot launch the RX (100) with a two-stroke engine but we are working on a four-stroke version for the bike”
